The Beyond 60 Ministry is taking a day trip to Monroe to view the new exhibit, “Images of Christ”, featuring depictions of Jesus created by various national and ethnic origins. Join us on Wednesday, May 2. Museum entry is $6 +tax and cost for gas is $5 per person. We will go to lunch following the tour. We will leave at 9:30 am. Vistors are always welcome!
In appreciation of Trinity Senior Adults, we are once again hosting an afternoon tea to honor them. Join us on Wednesday, May 16, 2 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Come enjoy great fellowship, delicious food, and excellent music all provided at no charge. A full, 3-course low tea will be served and music will be provided by Dr. Cain Budds, Associate Professor of Music/Guitar at Louisiana Tech. On Wednesday, April 25, at the senior adult luncheon, Don’t Mention Age (DMA), Marie Burns will be giving a presentation on Trinity’s recent trip to the Holy Land. Come see the amazing pictures, hear the stories, and even hear some of the beautiful sounds that came out of that trip. Lunch is $6 per person. We begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Rev. Jerry Hilbun will lead a trip to Navajo Nation in June 2018. We encourage anyone from Sr. High to Sr. adult to participate. There are many ways to serve! If you have any interest, contact Amy Stegall.
The Outreach Committee will be selling tickets to the NU Hope event on April 7 at Zion Traveler church from 12-2 pm. Tickets are $30 for luncheon and silent auction. The goal of NU-Hope is to reinvigorate the neighborhood by providing a community gathering space in the form of a “Hope House.” The Hope House will be located just north of Duncan Park and will have a large community meeting room and smaller breakout rooms to house activities and after-school programming.
GOSPEL MASS by Robert Ray will be presented by Trinity Chancel Choir and Grambling State Univ. Choir on Sunday, April 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Several soloists along with the choirs and instrumentalists will participate. We invite you to join us for this Gospel version of the Mass and invited friends to join us as well. There is no admission charge.
